Ipsy vs. Birchbox November 2012

So I'm back with my opinions for this months of boxes!

(Straight from the Ipsy website!)

Ipsy November 2012:
This month they were offering a small sample of they're Real! by Benefit. I was really hoping to get that, but alas, I did not. Was very sad. Anyway, here is what I got in my box.

theBalm Meet Matt(e) in Matt Batali: It's a very beautiful brownish shadow. Goes on really well and it is suited for many skin types! I like! :D Honestly, it's hard to go wrong with theBalm.

bareMineral Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss: This one was a darker color for me, so I wasn't too thrilled about that. It was your average lipgloss for me, not sticky, sheer, glossy. Cool, nothing special, but something about it made my lips kinda hurt/tingle. So, meh.

Starlet Intense Eyeliner in Brown: This was ok, not the biggest fan of this medium brown color. It was also kind of rough to use. Ended up giving it away.

Chella Defining Brow Gel: As I said, I wanted the mascara, but this was ok. I'm not really big into brow gels, since my brows are pretty easy to tame. It's cool to have, but I won't be using it a lot. Good product, not for me!

Nailtini Nail Color in Millionaire: Ack! So much long, glittery confetti. I didn't like the color and it made me think of hair. I gave it away asap. I love nail polish, but this wasn't a color for me! Oh well.

(Straight from the Birchbox website!)

Birchbox November 2012:
I was so disappointed when my box updated. Does this look like a box you would give to someone who is 22 but looks 16? No. It looks like something my mom would get. What the hell Birchbox. I said my only concern with skin is sensitivity so why am I getting so many skin care products in my box? Such a disappointment.

Masqueology Revitalizing Eye Mask: What is this? Stuff to make me look awake? I already look awake. I don't have under eye circles. I had no reason to use this so I gave it away.
MCMC Fragrance Phoenix Eau de Parfum: Perfume? Alright! I like perfume. Unfortunately this was too strong for my tastes. No big deal.

Kiehl's Creme de Corps: This is a lotion. Decent sample size, good smell, very moisturizing. I like! The only problem is the price tag. 70$? Haha, no. I use other things just as nice for waaaaaay cheaper.

Masqueology 7D Moisture Cream: Another thing for under eye circles, that I don't have. Again, gave this away asap. Why do I need items that do the same thing in my box? Not to mention the sample size is tiny. How do I even know it'll work when it's only good for once use?

Masqueology Masque Cleanse: A lot of cleansers hurt my face. I was not about to put this on my face either. Plus, the sample was only good for one use. How do I know if it'll hurt my skin if I can only use it once. I'm not pleased at all. :/

stila all over shimmer liquid luminizer: I'm not really big into liquid luminizers, but I thought I would give this a try. Too dark and orangy for my skin. Well, that's lame. Decent product, but I can't use it. Wouldn't buy it anyway.

Verdict: Even though I didn't like much in either box, Ipsy did 1000x better than Birchbox. I am pissed I got three facial products that I don't need nor ever hinted I needed. They need to look again at my profile. If December isn't good, I'm cancelling for sure.

MyGlam vs. Birchbox October 2012

First up is the Birchbox!

I did not op in or out of the Goop box, but I ended up with one anyway. This is what it contained:
(MALIN+GOETZ) cilantro hair conditioner: This was a deluxe sample size. I like good conditioners, so I was pleased to see this.
(MALIN+GOETZ) grapefruit face cleanser: After getting the deluxe sample of the conditioner, I was disappointed to see this was a little packet only good for one use. I literally need at least 3 uses out of something to tell if it's going to hurt my skin or not. So this isn't useful to me.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum: I don't really care for this stuff, but I'll use it. Although the sample is small, it'll be good for a few uses.
LUNA Fiber Chocolate Raspberry: Everyone seems to hate the Luna bar. I don't mind, but I don't want one everything month since the flavors aren't my type. It was a nice added thing though!
Sprout Lip Balm Flights: This was the size of a chapstick. The product is nice, but I can't stand the smell of raw cocoa, so I'm giving this away. It was a good pick to see in my box though!
Supergoop!® City Sunscreen Serum: Last but not least, the Goop product! Unfortunately, it came in two tiny packets. It might work out for a few uses, but I was disappointed in the size.

Overall not bad, but I had three main issues with the box, which I ended up contacting their CS. So I will update when I get a response. My issues were:
1) My box came hella late. It was suppose to arrive the 19th, but it came the 24th. Of course that might be the post offices fault. So that's not the biggest deal.
2) I got the wrong card in my box. That was a little weird. But again, not a big deal.
3) Um, the Goop sample was pathetic. I really think that if Goop pairs up with Birchbox, they were going to toss in some deluxe sample sizes, or at least not pitiful sizes. Was really not impressed with this.

On to the Glam bag!

The bag this month was AMAZING! They outdid themselves for sure. What did I get?
Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment: I really like this stuff! It makes my hair feel so smooth and silky! And the bottle retails for 12$! Already paid for my bag, and the product is fabulous. Already better than my BB!
Coastal Scents Eye Shadow: I ended up getting set 1 which was two bluish/teal, grey and white! Not my colors, but it still works for sampling. I actually ended up really liking the shadows, plus they are cheap! Nice thing to have in the bag.
Mirenesse Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer Stain: Full size product alert! Oh my gosh, was so stoked to see this. It's a beautiful stain. It's actually kind of like a liquid lipstick stain. It's great! And retails for like over 30$. Holy crap. The only downside here is that it's number 4 and I was wanted the lighter one. Oh well. I've only used it once so if anyone wants to trade me for 9, let me know! :D
Be A Bombshell Eye Liner: Full sized liner! Whoooo! Black, felt tip liner that works well. I like it, it will be added to my black eyeliner collection. Fabulous!
theBalm What's Your Type? "the body builder" Black Mascara: Mascara! I always love trying out mascara. I am forever searching for the HG mascara. While this was not it, it's a great product and am happy to see this in my bag.

It's pretty obvious what I liked more. I mean, I didn't hate my BB, but it wasn't anything amazing. The Glam bag killed it! Dang. I mean, I'm not expecting for everyone to give me a full size product every month, but I do want to get good sample sizes so I can try out the product! We shall see what happens come November.

MyGlam vs. Birchbox September 2012

I thought I'd do a comparison for this months BB and Glambag.

This was my Birchbox this month. I wasn't too thrilled with it, but I'll give a quick breakdown:
BVLGARI Mon Jasmin Noir: Perfume. It was really strong smelling and not my type. Went straight to the garbage.
WEI™ to Go Sleep Over Kit: Real Clean and Ideal Skin: Make up item! Cool to try, but not interested in it. Something that I could easily get for free. Not really impressed.

Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator: A face thingy. Some sort of brightener? What? Basically used as a wash. It's interesting, but I do have a good face routine. I'm also hoping this doesn't hurt my sensitive skin.
Birchbox and Color Club® Custom Collection: A light pink metallic! It's a tiny size, which I didn't mind. The color just isn't me. And the last polish they gave me was metallic. Boring.
twistband™ Lace up for Fall: This was cool. I bought some before and I like them, but I just got a single one. I'm probably a bit picky about this, but I just looks silly in the box with everything else.
The Brush Guard Variety Pack: This is a cool idea! Was an interesting concept. I might get some use out of them when I travel. We shall see.

Honestly, this is the lamest Birchbox I have ever received. Looks like it cost them nothing to put together and it all just fell flat.

So I don't have a picture of my GlamBag because I'm lazy, but it's the same for everyone. So here's the quick breakdown:
SOHO Smudge Brush: Yay! A brush! This is fab! I can never have too many brushes! I haven't used it yet, but I am quite interested in trying it out!
Carol's Daughter Monoi Repairing Split End Sealer: Who has split ends? This girl. That's the trouble with fine, frizzy hair. This product will be great to use. I am so happy with it!
Jane Sparkle Gloss: Although this gloss doesn't last very long, it's a very nice color. And, I happen to love lip products! Another win for me!
Mirabella Eye Colour: This is a pretty neutral pinky-brown color. It's slightly pearlize and silky. I like it a lot. I could never have enough eyeshadow so this made me super happy!
Circus by Andrea's Choice Nail Color in Tightrope: Another circus polish? Yes please! I love me some nail polish! While I'm not sure about the color, I am pleased to have another full size polish in my collection!

How amazing is this bag? This is by far the best month of GlamBag I've gotten. Kind funny considering it was my worst Birchbox month. Oh well. (:

The Loofah: A Review

BEHOLD! THE MAGNIFICANT LOOFAH! I honestly never though I'd own a loofah, really. I played around with my moms when I was younger, but it always seemed scratchy to me. Why would someone subject themselves to a scratchy object?! So, I pretty much forgot about them until a month ago.

Up until recently, my skin was actually quite smooth. I really didn't need to do much with it. Then, suddenly, I was attacked by dead skin cells! I could literally scratch off them from certain spots in the shower. What the hell? It was like I had a layer of them sitting on top of my awesome skin. I have no idea how my skin changed so much, but, I was not pleased.

After dealing with my skin not feeling as clean as it should, I went on a mission to find a way to make it baby smooth once again. And honestly, my skin was also grossing me out. My first step was the buy a body brush. That would exfoliate me! It's rough! It HAD to work. Yeah, nope. It didn't seem to change much. It also kind of hurt. So, my next thought was "Maybe I needed something to exfoliate with the brush. That would make sense." So I bought an exfoliating body wash. After using it a couple of times, no dice. What was I doing wrong.?

For some reason, I thought that lotion was the key! Maybe it was actually dry skin and not dead skin! Genius! And, you know what, it actually was genius. But not in that way. My body needed lotion. So, it was a good buy, but my skin was still feeling blah.

After almost giving up hope, I decided the internet had to have a solution. And that's when I stumbled across the loofah. Seemed simple: Get it wet, massage it a little, and rub it on your body! And the price was cheap. I got 2 for less than 6 dollars.

When they finally arrived I dragged a loofah and my boyfriend into the shower and followed the instructions I read online. As soon as I dried off, I touched my body. SO SOFT! What did this magical loofah have in it? It didn't even feel like it was exfoliating! Maybe it tricked me? So I scratched at one of my bad spots. Nope! Nothing came off! I squeal in joy and told my boyfriend that my skin was as soft as his and forced him to pet me. He obviously didn't mind that. He also agreed that it did feel soft.

So, now, a month later, I still love it. It doesn't hurt my skin and it makes it feel so amazing! I will forever use a loofah as long as my skin needs it. And if you were having the same problem as me, pick one up! You might be quite surprised.

Before and After

My Favorite Products

Since I started really getting into make up, I have come to absolutely love certain products. So I'm going to mention some of my most used products! (:

Pangea Organics Lip Balm in Egyptian Fennel with Grapefruit and Sweet Orange: Oh my gosh, I love this product! I have used many lip products and this is my go-to moisturizing lip product. I even wear it under lipsticks and glosses! I got this in one of my first Birchboxes. I didn't even realize how much I loved it until a few months later. I like it because it softens my lips, smells nice, and it also a bigger size so I can just smother it on my lips!

Eos Smooth Mint Lip Balm Sphere: This is my other go-to product for my lips. It's a very yummy mint tasting product that moisturizes my lips. I've tried the other flavors, but none compare to this flavor! Because it's a giant sphere, it's really easy to apply onto the lips! It's also a hit with the guys I've kissed while wearing this! And that's a very nice plus.

Skin79 VIP Gold BB Cream: I got into the BB hype. Glad I did! It works fabulous as a moisturizing base foundation for me! I add a light dust of mineral foundation on top to cover my rosacea and it's great! Plus the dusting of the mineral powder helps if my face looks too dewy. Honestly, those two together give me the best looking skin and also look the most natural since I'm very pale but with neutral (mostly) and there are very few foundation for me!

Everyday Minerals Base: This was the mineral foundation I was talking about. It's pretty cheap, very good, and the perfect color! You can get samples from their website to try out a few shades to find your match! Honestly, don't spend 30 dollars on mineral foundation when you can try this stuff.

Tarina Tarantino Dolllskin Cheek Palette: Wow. This blush palette is amazing. You get four almost full-sized blushes for 45$! And it has a giant mirror that you can actually use! These blushes pigmented, silky, and just amazing! It's perfect for travel to me because I get all the basics of blushes. It looks amazing on fair skintones. The only downside is it might not be good colors for dark skin and the case can easily show fingerprints. But for me, I have no problems with that. :D

Sigma Paris Palette: I wanted this on and off for weeks upon weeks. It was pricey for me to pay, but it offered so much! 8 eyeshadow, 3 blushes, a highlighter and 2 brushes for 60$?! Yeah, I gave in. I really do love this palette. The brushes are awesome, the blushes are amazing, the highlighter is great and the eyeshadows are lovely. I have only two complaints with this palette and they are that the black is difficult to work with and the dark blue is annoying but gives in and looks good! Outside of that, it's a really great palette that will come with me on trips!

Kat Von D's Beethoven Palette: It took me over 2 months to appreciate this palette. Really, go look at my review for this. Haha. Although it's not perfect, some of the shadows aren't super blendable even though others are, it's amazing. The colors are lovely on my eyes and you can do day looks and night looks. It was the palette that really got me into some color.

Kat Von D's Mi Vida Loca Palette: After getting Beethoven, I wanted more color. I spotted this palette and it was love at first sight. One day, I finally gave in and bought it. I've talked about how amazing this product is and how it completely lived up to my expectations in my review. My only problem is that the purple really sucks. I bought the MUF 92 to help it out though. (: The rest is amazing, the case is study and beautiful and the mirror is pretty big. When I want to go for a crazy look, this is the palette I grab. I think this palette is now discontinued. I don't know what I am going to do when I hit the pan!

Kat Von D's Saint Palette: Since I am a palette whore, it was only a matter of time before I got this. I was having a hard time justifying this purchase since I already have many neutral palettes. But I had heard amazing things and craved it. So, in a moment of weakness, I bought it. I looooove it! It's beautiful outside and in and the best palette out of all of Kat's! Every color is amazing.

Juicy's Viva La Juicy Perfume: Last but not least on this list is this perfume. I had a lovely perfume before this that smelled great on me, but the second I got a wiff of this, I knew my relationship with the other was over. This scent was light, but yummy, not too flowery either! It's my go-to scent now.

There you have it! Those are my favorite products I use almost daily! I have other products I love, but these are the ones that I can't live without. They are also the ones that I would probably take with me on a trip. Yes, all of them! (:

My current collection.

Well, most of it anyway. Took a picture to figure out how much I had. The answer is: a lot more than I realized.

SEPHORA COLLECTION Mini Bag Makeup Palette swatches and review

So when I bought my Saint palette, I wanted to get the 3-day shipping, so I needed 14 more dollars. I found this item with decent reviews for $15 and thought I would get it a shot.

When it arrived, I didn't realize it would be so small (We're talking 3' by 3'). But that quickly became one of my favorite parts about it. It's just so small and cute! It's completely perfect for a purse or for travelling. Not to mention the colors are great!

See? Aren't the eyeshadows pretty? Pretty neutrals, but you can still do a great night look with it.

I am in love with this blush. One look at it on my face made me fall in love. It quite pigmented as you can see from the swatch, but using a little and blending it out, it goes very light! Yes, I notice it sort of hard to see it blended out. My point is it's easy to go dark or light with it.

Last is the lippies. I'd say they are average for a set lippy. I love the darkest color, but the other are nice as well! I'd say the two lightest don't really do anything as far as color goes for the lips though. I'm not complaining since they feel nice.

See how perfect this is for on the go? Although there are many things you can get out there for $15, this one was worth it to me. I'd say go for it if you have the money! You may be pleasantly surprised!

Kat Von D's Saint Palette swatch and review

I really do love Kat Von D's palettes. The packaging is cute, the colors are gorgeous, and the quality is pretty decent. Of course it was only a matter of time before I got another palette from her. This time, I decided on Saint.

Look at the packaging! It's so pretty! I love the flowers on it. This one is like Mi Vida Loca in which case it's on a spring hinge, which is great for travel and easy to open. It also comes with an eyeliner, in black (Which I forgot to capture. Sorry!) I'm already in love. Now onto the colors:

Heavens: A Lovely pearlized cream color. What an appropriate name!
Enjoy the Silence: A Beautiful pearlized champagne color.
<3: This color is really interesting because it's actually a pale-pink matte with glittery in it.
Downtown: I wanna say a pearlized orangy-pink color.

Sunny: A pearlized golden orange.
Pray For Me: This is my favorite colors. A pearlized taupe!
Bookworm: This one isn't shimmery like the others, but it does have some glitter in it. It's almost like a mix between <3 and the pearls.
Carvaggio: Matte Brown. I hear this one is an amazing color or eyeliner! (:

I swear every palette of hers I have a favorite colors I'm just drawn to. In her Mi Vida Loca palette, it was Mad Max and Dublin (The blue and green); in her Beethoven palette, it was Leather and Sinner (The medium purple and the brown). In this one, it took me all of two seconds to fall in love with Pray For Me and Enjoy The Silence.

Out of all her palettes I have, this one is the highest quality. Mixed with the fact these colors are seriously gorgeous, I would highly recommend this palette.

e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Warm Swatches and Review

So, I'm sort of in love with this palette.

As the palette queen, I crave many palettes. After reading a review on this one, I decided that I wanted to try it out. And for $5 (To be fair, I got it for $2.50), it couldn't hurt. Added in with the fact I ordered the cool palette and it wasn't half bad, I talked myself into buying it.

Look at these swatches! I'm impressed. The colors are super pretty and go one quite well. It's not the super best formula, but it works well. I don't stuggle to put it on! Some of them are chalky, and some don't have the amazingly best pigment, but that's ok. You have a lot of colors to work with! Just to note: Even though many of the light colors seem like they aren't pigmented, they are some of the best in the palette; they are just light! :D

I want to hug this palette. Completetly worth the money I spent on it. If you like neutrals I would highly suggest to try this palette out!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Swatches and Review

I'm going to keep this review short because there are plenty of reviews for this product out there. If you're at all involved in make up, you've probably heard the raves about this product. I kept hearing about how amazing these were, how beautiful the colors are, and how lovely they felt on the lips. I was interested in stepping more into lip products, so I decided to buy some to try them out. I loved them, so I ended up with 8.

THE COLORS! These were obviously done with the flash. The colors in order are: Lollipop, Sweet Tart, Pink Truffle, Peach Parfait, Berry Smoothie, Raspberry Pie, Sugar Plum, and Red Velvet. Also the same for below which are done in slightly yellow/orange lighting.:

I love this product. It's buttery smooth and beautifully pigmented. You can easily wear a little or layer on for more color. The only downside is that they don't last forever, but I wasn't looking for a product that would. Honestly, I think anyone looking for a lip product should give these a try.

e.l.f. Essential Lipstick swatches and review.

So in this review, I only am swatching two colors. I actually ordered 4, but I immediately got rid of two of them because the product was awful. I expected nothing amazing, but these were bad. They felt wrong and too plasticky. I checked the reviews on Makeup Alley and there were so many praises. I can't see why. I was going to order them again, but I really wasn't impressed with the product anyway. So, for this review I have the colors Classy and Seductive.

Classy (the bright pink one), is a little less barbie pink than in the picture and has a bit more purple to it. It's quite pretty.
Seductive is less pink in person as well and a slightly darker too, but really nice.
I originally took picture of both flashed and not-flashed, but the not-flashed colors didn't look good. In the flashed it looks more like they do in person, but pinkier in the picture.

As far as my review goes, these two are decent. They are smooth, though I still feel like they have that slight cheap plasticy feel you get with some cheap lipstick. They also have a slight flowery smell to them. I'm not the biggest fan of them, but they're not bad. I would personally not repurchase, but that's just me. There are plenty of other that would. The product is only a dollar, so it's not really a bad risk to take.

e.l.f. Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 in Ivory Swatch and Review

As an e.l.f. fan, I like trying out pretty much everything that could at least benefit me in some way. I wanted to try one of their foundations/tinted moisturizers, but they all seemed too orange. Then, I stumbled upon this product. It seemed like it would work for my skin. I bought it in Ivory to test it out. I mean, it's only a dollar.

It came in a tiny bottle. I mean really small. Look at it! But, I didn't expect too much for the price.

On my arm, it looks orange. Which is actually fitting since it smells like oranges. When you blend it in, it's not orange. In fact, it seems it's not even there! I can't even notice a tint. >.> How disappointing. If you have perfect skin and are looking for a subtle something (or a nothing...), this will be great for you! If your skin isn't perfect like many of us, pass. Not worth it.

Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color Swatches and Review

So when I ordered one of these off of Cherry Culture, I didn't know I was going to absolutely adore it. So a week later I ended up buying six more colors. And here they are:

Colors are: Grape-Tini, Berry Colada, Sugar Cookie, Mango Delight,
Raspberry, Watermelon Juice, and Sweet Strawberry.

So things I would like to say about these:
1) They smell like their name. So keep that in mind! Don't like the smell of grapes? Don't get the grape-tini.
2) They are not long lasting. Typical for a lip-balm gloss, but still.
3) They are moisturizing and very smooth on the lips!
4) They actually have a good tint to them. If you want them dark, you can get them pretty dark.
5) Packaging kind of sucks. The lip colors doesn't go all the way down, so it's easy to hit the product.
6) It's really soft. So don't have too much sticking up when you go to put it on and don't let it melt!

Even though this product has some faults, I still love it! And it's only around $1.99 so it's worth it just to grab one and try it out!

Julep Maven Review

I had been eyeing this program for a bit. I wasn't sure if I wanted to try it. $20 dollars seemed like a bit for me to just be spending all on nail polish stuff I wasn't sure I'd like. Then, I stumbled across the penny offer. If you use the coupon PENNY, you get your first box for a penny. Not bad, right? Worth it to me.

When I stumbled across the penny offer, I also came across a review as well. I found out you can switch your maven box to one of the other maven boxes for the month. What does that mean? Hate the box your getting, get a different one! That pleased me to hear. I also found out that you can opt out of a months box. Ok, yeah, sold!

So I got my first box and was super excited to try things out. Things I noticed: The colors were beautiful. The formulas were not very viscous. They dried on my nails very fast. They didn't chip any more than other polishes I've use. The bottles don't have a lot of nail polish in them. Overall, I liked them. Would I want to pay the full $14 retail? No way. Do I love getting them cheap in this box? Yes.

First box was the Classic With a Twist starter set pictured above. It contained The Best Pedi Creme Ever! ($22), Toe Separaters, Two Polishes ($14 each). It was worth 50 dollars! Sweet.

Second box was the It Girl Box that cost me $19.99. BUT, I did two adds on (you can do two a month) for $4.99 each. So my total was $29.97. In this box I got 4 different polishes. 3 polishes made up the original box ($14 each), and then there was an extra polish to celebrate the 4th of July (another $14)! I also got a voucher in this box for a free polish that is currently on it's way to my house (another $14)! My two adds on I got were a lip gloss ($18) and a pink polish to match ($14)! So the retail value of this box was $88. Nice!

So, for someone who is into polish like me, I get a great colors selection for a great price and it's just a fun idea. I'll be continuing this subscription for a while for sure.

June 2012 Birchbox Review

When I decided to sneak a peak at my June Birchbox, I was super excited. I was very excited for the products in it and couldn't wait for it to arrive! It looked like it would be my best box so far.

When it finally arrived, I opened it im
mediately and started playing with all the items. Didn't take long for me to form opinions on these products. I'm not going to use my pictures for these since there are many out there. And because I am feeling lazy.

John Varvatos Star U.S.A: This came in your typical vial for perfume/cologne. It was around three to four inches long. Not sure how much it's worth. Full retail price for 1.7oz is $55.
This was an added extra in my box to advertise for the new Men's Birchbox. I was totally fine with getting this because I knew I could pass it along to my boyfriend or stepdad. Which is exactly what I did. It had a similar smell to whatever my stepdad uses so I tossed it at him. I like the smell, but this product wasn't meant for me, so yeah. Haha.
It's actually out of stock on Birchbox. People really must have liked it!

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream: I hadn't heard of this brand before so I was excited to try it out. It came in a 0.1oz size. It retails for $16 for 1.25oz. So this sample size is pretty small if you want to use it on your skins to heal dryness. If you just use it for lips, it's a good sample size. The product isn't one I care to use. I have no need for it (I have a billion lip products). Also the smell is very strong. I'm not sure what causes it but I know I have smelled something exactly like it before. Either way, it's an "meh" product for me. Others may love it.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner: This eyeliner is fab. I was very excited to see this because I had heard good things about eyeko and I also love black eyeliner! Plus it's a fullsize product that retails for $15! Sweet. I tried the product out right away. It came out dark black the first try, went on smoothly, and didn't smudge. Even when I washed my hands a few times since, it's still on. So for many people, they will LOVE this eyeliner to pieces. For me, it's ok. It's something I will only use while swimming or what not. I don't need that staying power. And I just got the Marbella one in my Glambag that works perfectly for me. So this product was only ok for me, but I completely recommend it for anyone else.

theBalm cosmetics Stainiac: When I saw everyone was getting this, I was stoked! I love theBalm's products I have (Hot Mama, Bahama Mama, and two of the Shady Lady palettes), so it was great to see one of their products. Not to mention, it's fulled size and retails for $17! I'm still debating whether or not that is worth it. The product is a gel product that doesn't have a lot of pigment. It doesn't reall show up on my lips, and I feel like I can't see it much on my face. I am going to play around with it more to see what I can do.

BAND-AID Brand Adhesive Bandages by Cynthia Rowley Bundle: I was thrilled to see these! I get cut a lot at work and need band aids so this was great. They are just printed bandages. This retails for $11 on Birchbox, but I saw them at my work, Target, for the same price as other bandaids.

Melvita Floral Water: I'm actually not sure what the point of this product is. I think it's for hydration for your face. Actually, I am pretty sure that's what it's for. I got a .95 fl. oz. bottle of this. The full-sized product retails for $22 for 6.76 fl. oz. I probably would have liked this product and actually used it if it wasn't for the smell. It smells strongly of roses. Not my cup of tea at all. I would have preferred lavender. I wish I could comment on the quality of the product, but I was not interested in smelling like that. I'll probably give away this item in my make up swap.

So overall, it was an ok box for me. While the products were great, I won't get too much use out of them.
